EMR

Digital records are kept by Selkirk Medical Associates in a software called an EMR (electronic medical record) EMR systems are intended to keep track of a patient’s entire health and medical history in a computerized, electronic format. By keeping these potentially vast records in this manner, they can be easily retrieved by staff and physicians,  and can make a patient’s navigation through the healthcare system much safer and more efficient.

Access to the EMR is monitored.  All clinic staff have signed a confidentiality agreement in accordance with  PHIA guidelines.   Third parties, such as insurance firms, may request information if authorization is given by the patient.
